Anne Cottage: Details

Anne Cottage is situated close to the centre of Bakewell. This lovely 17th Century cottage is very well equipped, has been decorated to a high standard and boasts two en-suite bedrooms.

The accommodation comprises:

The cottage is very cosy and warm having full double glazing, central heating supplemented by a gas fire in the lounge.

The front door leads into the dining area with the kitchen off to the left. The room has lovely natural oak flooring, exposed stonework incorporating a Norman Cross, an oak dining table and chairs to seat 4 guests.

The adjoining kitchen area is very well equipped for you to prepare the Sunday roast as it has been recently refurbished with new units, an electric oven with gas hob, integral fridge, and a dishwasher.

Off the dining room there is a door leading to the stairs up to the pretty bedroom with a king size bed exposed timber-work and an en-suite shower room with basin and w/c. The bed is a split and link bed and so can be converted in to twin beds by special request.

The cosy lounge with ceiling beams, wooden floor, and two 2 seater leather sofas leads off the dining room. There is a 43" Full HD wall mounted TV, DVD, radio and a fireplace with a coal effect gas fire.

The Utility room leads off the lounge and has a fridge freezer, sink and washer/drier. There is also a cupboard with the ironing facilities.

Also leading off the lounge are the stairs up to the delightful double bedroom with king-size bed and co-ordinating fabrics, making this a lovely room which has its own adjoining bathroom with shower over.

With its convenient location, being 800 yards walking distance from the centre of Bakewell, having parking for two cars adjacent to the property and being in the centre of the Peak District National Park, Anne Cottage is the perfect holiday base.

The cottage is a 17th Century cottage made up of two cottages joined together many years ago.

Because of its age it has some quirky aspects which make it unsuitable for wheelchair users as they include uneven floors and floors at different levels requiring small steps in various rooms and some light switches are in unexpected positions. A key feature also is that the two bedroom suites are accessed by separate stairs and there is no upstairs connection between them.

There is reserved parking for two cars immediately outside the cottage so access is immediate with only a few steps required.
